Copy your clothes! - Pattern making class
Have a favourite simple garment that you’ve always wished you could replicate? This workshop is for you!
In this workshop you will learn how to copy a garment (without unpicking it) and transfer it into a paper pattern. Along with a whole range of new skills to let you try this technique on a range of garments.
Skills we will cover: Taking accurate measurements, using pattern making equipment, pattern making terminology, understanding garment construction, copying a garment into a pattern, adding seam allowance, creating a final pattern.
You will need to bring a simple top or dress to copy. We suggest bringing a few garment options. We will also have some garments here as a back up. It is best to start with simple garments without draping/pleats/gathers/panels.
